Dr Elsa Yeung is a consultant psychiatrist specialising in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder and personality disorders including borderline personality disorder. She also has a strong interest in Asian mental health, and is able to provide consultations in both Mandarin and Cantonese.

Dr Yeung is committed to providing the best treatment options in the most convenient and accessible way, ensuring all patients in need of support can effectively access treatment.

She is particularly interested in assisting patients with treatment resistant depression and adjusting medication treatment to get the balance right. She is an accredited provider of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), a proven alternative to antidepressant medication treatment.

She also assists young females experiencing hormonal issues and older women dealing with the changes brought about by menopause.

Dr Yeung oversees patient referrals to the dialectical behaviour therapy day patient program. This program is designed for people diagnosed with borderline personality disorder who may self harm, have intense and unstable mood states, and unstable relationships. She works closely with patients and their support team to identify underlying issues, reset boundaries and formulate ongoing management plans.

Dr Yeung accepts referrals for inpatient admissions and outpatient appointments at her private practice consulting rooms at Robina Private Hospital, and she also accepts mental health referrals for patients with WorkCover and medico legal claims.
